System One is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer in Cincinnati. The hybrid role blends software engineering and automation to modernize infrastructure and migrate hosting across Azure/AWS and on-prem.

You will own high-impact projects from design to deployment, shaping reliability and scale. Required skills include Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes, SRE practices, and strong scripting in Python/Go/Bash/PowerShell.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps/Cloud Engineering with Azure or AWS exposure.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Terraform and CI/CD design/ops experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead modernization efforts and hosting migrations across hybrid infrastructure.
• Streamline provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell DSC).
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Implement observability/monitoring platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Operate containerized workloads (Docker); apply SRE practices (SLOs, error budgets).
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and automate to reduce toil.
• Support DevSecOps initiatives including backup strategy and DR readiness.
• Evaluate tools/technologies to keep stack modern and scalable.
