Job summary

Phoenix Operations Group seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to support a fast-paced technical environment in San Antonio, TX. You will manage cloud and edge infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure reliable, scalable systems.

Hybrid work requires 1–2 onsite days weekly; strong AWS/EKS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and scripting skills are essential. The role emphasizes DoD-aligned security, DoD 8140/8570 compliance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance required.
• 5+ years of DevOps Engineering or Software Development experience with a related technical degree, or 3+ years with a Master’s, or 9+ years with a high school diploma.
• Strong Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration knowledge.
• Hands-on AWS experience (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda).
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for IaC/configuration management.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or Go scripting.
• Familiar with Git, Flux, and related deployment tools.
• Linux system administration and terminal proficiency.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and related tooling.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliant certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Support cloud infrastructure deployment in AWS including EKS and containers.
• Develop and maintain automated deployment processes and IaC practices.
• Manage Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure for reliability and scale.
• Collaborate with software teams to integrate apps into cloud environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production infrastructure and apps.
• Advance automation, monitoring, and performance improvements.
