Job summary

HH Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Santa Clara, CA team in a hybrid role (office two days per week). You will manage production systems, automate deployment pipelines, and implement security throughout the SDLC while collaborating with development and operations.

Candidates should have 1+ year of IT infrastructure experience, strong AWS and Linux skills, and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, with 1+ years of experience in IT infrastructure services.
• Proficiency in managing AWS environments and an in-depth understanding of Linux fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, DNS management, VLANs, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Expertise in troubleshooting tools and experience with SSL Certificates in Apache stacks.
• Familiarity with server virtualization and monitoring tools.
• Competence in scripting and automation with Python, Ruby, or Bash/TCsh shell.
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and working with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of our multiple production systems.
• Facilitate cross-functional development and provide high-level service and support on our development and high-volume production systems.
• Provision and manage infrastructure, utilizing IaC tools for automation and configuration.
• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Monitor the health and performance of IT infrastructure and applications, identifying and addressing issues to ensure optimal operations.
• Foster communication and collaboration between development and operations teams.
• Manage version control and configuration using tools like GitHub, Puppet, and Chef.
• Integrate security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Engage with containerization technologies and cloud-native solutions to enhance deployment strategies.
