Job summary

Celtic Bank in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a DevOps Engineer, IT Automation to reduce manual work through automation, scripting, systems integration, and sound DevOps practices in a hybrid role.

You will design, build, review, and maintain automation workflows that connect internal IT systems, identity platforms, Atlassian products, banking applications, and service management tools, collaborating with IT operations, security, and compliance to modernize provisioning and strengthen identity

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in DevOps, software engineering, or IT automation.
• Strong Python proficiency required; other scripting languages preferred.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and modern authentication methods.
• Knowledge of identity workflows and access management is a plus.
• Experience with Atlassian products and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation workflows across IT systems and apps.
• Develop integrations using APIs, webhooks, and event-driven workflows.
• Automate user lifecycle processes and access reviews.
• Support security, compliance, and audit readiness in a regulated banking environment.
• Create documentation and ensure maintainable, secure automation code.
• Apply DevOps principles: version control, peer review, and structured deployments.
• Support Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence integrations.
