Philly Community Wireless is hiring a Development and Communications Manager to lead fundraising, outreach, and external communications. Hybrid role, combining on-site coordination with remote work, focusing on building partnerships and growing donor engagement.

You will oversee grant writing, marketing materials, media relations, and volunteer programs while representing PCW in the community and at funder events. Strong collaboration and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in development, fundraising, and community organizing.
• Strong written and verbal communication for fundraising and marketing materials.
• Experience maintaining donor records, CRMs, and financial information.
• Ability to work independently and in a small cooperative team.
• Curious, proactive with feedback and learning.
• Leadership experience in meetings and directing activities per conduct policies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement development strategy (35%): identify grants and earned income sources, develop fundraising plans, craft grant content and budgets, manage donor relationships, track outcomes and refine strategies, participate in budgeting.
• Manage organizational communications and marketing (25%): produce marketing materials, prepare accessible presentations, oversee social media and newsletters, edit online content, build media relations, raise brand awareness.
• Maintain and grow community engagement (25%): establish relationships with partners, plan community events, represent PCW at events, coordinate volunteer activities.
• Supervise and lead staff, volunteers, and teams (15%): supervise Content Coordinator, lead grant deliverables, run outreach teams, input data for reports, participate in network installations.
