Job summary

Bridgestone Americas in Nashville is seeking an experienced Architect to lead architectural due diligence and design for Bridgestone Retail Operations formats across new builds, remodels, and expansions. You will negotiate with developers, architects and engineers, and guide projects from inception to construction.

This Nashville-based role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture (Master’s preferred) and 10+ years’ experience in architecture, with real estate design knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture required; master's preferred.
• Ten years’ experience in architecture with real estate design and development.
• Knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
• Experience with remodels and condemnation matters.
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage A&E conceptual design, due diligence, document development, and approvals to maintain schedule integrity.
• Value engineer designs and monitor construction activities for conformity to specs.
• Coordinate A&E information between BSRO internal departments and outside parties.
• Review planning documents for completeness, alignment with criteria, and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure conformance to site standards and coordinate with design teams on changes.
• Coordinate code investigations, approvals, and bid package development.
• Lead internal development meetings to monitor project performance.
• Select and retain outside consultants and contractors for design services.
• Coordinate asset evaluations and turnover meetings with Construction Managers.
• Assist in negotiating construction issues and define Exhibits for agreements.
• Participate in RFPs for design consultants.
• Develop and maintain a digital library of design details and drawings.
