Job summary

Weir is seeking a Design Engineer - Construction Attachments in Covington, KY or Portland, OR. This hybrid role focuses on engineering design, collaboration with customers, and ensuring products meet manufacturing standards.

You will develop fabricated components with manufacturing teams, manage changes, and pursue continuous improvements to reduce costs while delivering reliable, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 2 years related engineering experience.
• Proficiency in CAD modeling, ideally Siemens NX.
• Authorization to permanently work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and ESCO Sales to define design criteria for products meeting expectations.
• Apply engineering principles to define, solve, and document solutions meeting quality and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage system database parameters for mass production and daily orders, including engineering change orders.
• Develop fabricated products aligned with customer and manufacturing needs, coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers for timely delivery.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers to support project success.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally (about 2 weeks/year in NA).
• Demonstrate commitment to zero-harm safety culture.
