Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. seeks a Civil Engineer II to join our Denver, CO team. You will evaluate, design, and manage segments of large land development projects, collaborating with senior engineers, clients, and sub-consultants.

The role emphasizes producing plans and calculations using Civil3D/AutoCAD, while coordinating with multiple disciplines and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results. Remote/hybrid options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required at time of hire.
• EIT certification and/or progress toward obtaining PE license preferred.
• 3+ years of civil engineering experience; land/site development experience preferred.
• Experience with land development engineering and drainage/BMP design preferred.
• Proficient with Civil3D and AutoCAD; knowledge of other design software is beneficial.
• Ability to read construction plans and understand design calculations.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize initial civil design approach for assigned phases of large land/site development.
• Evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques for moderately complex projects.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
• Produce civil design work and calculations using computer-aided software.
• Provide design recommendations and adaptations as needed.
• Assist with development of plans, specs, and reports.
• Provide technical support for design problems, including field investigations and coordination.
• Prepare reports and correspondence for project direction.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Review plans and prepare technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
