Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center (ANHC) is seeking an entry-level dental assistant trainee to join our clinic team in Anchorage, AK. Under supervision of licensed dentists and hygienists, you will learn infection control, chairside assisting, patient communication, and general dental procedures while earning pay and full benefits during training.

Qualifications

• Entry level to 9-11 months of dental assistant experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CPR/BLS on hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for dental encounters and update charts per standards.
• Take vital signs and prepare instruments for procedures.
• Capture dental X-rays and perform point-of-care tests when needed.
• Assist with four-handed dental instrument delivery during treatment.
• Ensure sterile field and maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
