Job summary

CONTINENTAL SERVICE GROUP LLC is seeking a Data Scientist I to develop and automate predictive models using the company’s data assets. This hybrid role is based out of the Fairport, NY office and involves close collaboration with management to support data-driven decisions and deliver actionable insights.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in data-related fields and has hands-on analytics experience, with strong communication skills to present technical results to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
• 1 year hands-on experience in complex analysis and analytics.
• 1 year to 2 years experience with R, SAS, SPSS or related software.
• Experience with SQL, data warehouse and BI tools preferred.
• Experience gathering requirements from management for business analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing, documenting, and automating existing predictive models.
• Develop automated analyses and predictive/descriptive models for analytics.
• Leverage data warehouse and systems to produce discoveries for executives.
• Provide ad hoc data mining support to business functions.
• Maintain relationships with IS, Finance, and Operations for data sources.
• Adhere to Blueprint Quality Management System and Compliance Program.
• Other duties as assigned.
