Job summary

Geocgi is seeking a Data Scientist to support the U.S. Department of State - Bureau of Diplomatic Security. You will design, develop, and apply advanced data analytics, ML, and AI solutions to meet customer requirements.

This is a hybrid role with one in-person day per week at DOS facilities in Rosslyn, VA. Responsibilities include building ML workflows, NLP/CV tasks, graph analytics, and data visualization; strong Python/R/SQL skills and experience with containerized apps and Kubernetes are

Qualifications

U.S. Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance.
Onsite one day a week in Rosslyn, Virginia.
5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a Master’s; or 2 years with a PhD.
Demonstrated experience with ML and data science techniques.
Experience with big data processing and analytics.
Graph databases and graph analytics experience.
Strong programming in Python, R, SQL.
Experience building containerized apps and APIs; Kubernetes deployment.
Proficient in Jupyter Lab, VS Code, GitLab; capable in analytic environments.
Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy ML and data science workflows.
Content extraction and enrichment from diverse sources.
Apply NLP and computer vision for entity recognition and classification.
Design graph data models and network analytics; GIS integration when applicable.
Leverage Azure or equivalent cloud-native AI platforms.
Perform big data processing and model evaluation at scale.
Develop visualizations with Esri ArcGIS, Power BI, or Tableau.
Document code and present findings to stakeholders.
