Job summary

Builders Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Statutory Reporting & Data Quality Analyst in Raleigh to coordinate insurance statistical and regulatory reporting. You will partner with Finance, Operations, Analytics, Data Governance and IT to ensure data accuracy, governance, and timely submissions to NCCI, ISO and state agencies.

This hybrid role in Raleigh requires a minimum two days in the office with flexibility to work from home the other three days, and offers competitive compensation,

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience in insurance data and reporting.
  • Experience with NCCI, ISO, state statistical agents and regulatory submissions preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel; experience with Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data-quality management, governance, controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and ability to explain data issues to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, validate, reconcile, and coordinate submission of insurance statistical and regulatory reports.
  • Maintain reporting calendars, data mappings, and business rules.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and coordinate remediation with cross-functional partners.
  • Monitor data-quality measures and communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Support data governance by maintaining definitions and quality rules.
  • Respond to audit, regulatory, and internal review requests with documentation.
  • Test reporting changes with data engineers to improve controls.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and automate reporting and improve data quality.
