Job summary

Builders Mutual is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager to lead the security program, coordinate risk management, and align security strategy with business goals. The role requires strong policy development, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration across IT and business units.

The position is hybrid with a Raleigh office presence two days per week and flexible remote work for the remaining days. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT-related discipline with 5–7 years in risk management and information security.
• 4+ years as an information security engineer; 1+ year penetration testing experience.
• Proven experience with IT security technologies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Establish a strategically sound Cybersecurity Program aligned with risk analysis and regulatory requirements.
• Define security policies, practices, training, and standards for IT systems and users.
• Implement, monitor, and manage cloud security controls.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and coordinate business continuity.
• Identify, evaluate, and report information security risks and projects.
• Lead security planning with multiple BMIC teams and departments.
• Coordinate risk analysis, risk management, and information classification.
• Create information security training for employees and partners.
