Job summary

Ruan seeks a Business Unit Support Analyst to prepare and analyze data from multiple sources, delivering reliable insights that help management implement more effective operational strategies and track financial results against budgets and forecasts.

This role offers a hybrid schedule with a mix of remote and on-site work at the Ruan Campus in downtown Des Moines, with 1-2 years experience preferred and opportunities to collaborate with project teams and functional leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent education/experience.
• 3-5 years of financial data analysis and reporting preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present to non-analytical staff.
• Proficient in Power BI and SQL; MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Research, review and analyze key operational and financial metrics using BI tools; identify data errors and communicate results.
• Consolidate and analyze financial data against goals, budgets and forecasts.
• Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Perform trend and variance analysis and develop financial forecasts.
• Collaborate with project teams to determine reporting needs and maintain documentation.
• Monitor and support adoption of standardized measurements and reporting tools.
• Review current business processes to identify opportunities to improve practices, cost savings, and productivity.
