Job summary

Summit Utilities, Inc. in Arkansas is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering (SGL35) to lead the data engineering team, oversee scalable data infrastructure, and collaborate with IT leadership, data scientists, and analysts to drive data-informed decisions.

This is a hybrid role based in Little Rock, Fort Smith, or Fayetteville. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in data engineering and 3+ years in leadership, strong skills in ETL/ELT, data modeling, and cloud platforms, plus excellent

• Leadership experience overseeing data engineering teams and projects.
• Strong data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing knowledge.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts.
• Oversee data warehousing, data lakes, and data pipelines.
• Define data engineering standards, governance, and security.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, data scientists, BI analysts, and developers.
• Drive automation and ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability.
