Job summary

LineVision's Data Engineering Co‑op in Boston will work with the Data & Microservices Platform team to harden the next‑generation data platform for on‑prem deployments. You will build data quality monitoring, lineage tracking, and governance checks across ingestion, storage, and API layers, while enabling secure data flows for utilities.

You will gain hands‑on experience with cloud‑native data engineering in the energy sector, collaborating on documentation and testing across cloud and on‑prem

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL to validate data and verify data integrity.
• Python skills to debug pipelines and automate checks.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and Kubernetes-based services.
• Understanding of data modeling, governance, and lineage.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build data quality monitoring and observability across ingestion and serving pipelines.
• Implement and extend data lineage tracking across pipelines to show data flow and transforms.
• Develop automated conformance checks for governance schemas.
• Expand audit event coverage for compliance ahead of on-prem deployment.
• Validate data integrity across deployment profiles (cloud and on-prem).
• Evaluate datastore and tooling options for hardening use cases.
• Document data flows, schema designs, and architectural decisions.
