Job summary

RTX in Aguadilla, PR is seeking a Software Engineer, Data Engineering I to help build and maintain data workflows. You will assist with data ingestion, transformation, and automation under senior engineers, contribute to database setup, IaC updates, and multi-source data integration.

The role requires a STEM degree and less than two years of relevant experience, strong English communication, and U.S. citizenship. This hybrid position involves three days onsite and two remote per manager schedule.

Qualifications

• STEM degree required with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship required for program access.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing data ingestion and transformation pipelines under senior engineers.
• Support basic automation for data extraction, transformation, and loading workflows.
• Perform initial database setup tasks, including schema creation and indexing.
• Contribute to IaC updates to maintain environment consistency.
• Help with multi-source data integration through data prep and scripting.
• Develop simple scripts to aid data processing and validation.
• Support secure data practices and SBOM activities.
• Assist in updating legacy data workflow components.
