Collins Aerospace in Aguadilla, PR is seeking a Software Engineer, DevSecOps Engineering I to help build data ingestion pipelines, automation workflows, and CI/CD processes. You will develop scripts, maintain databases, and contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives under senior engineers.

This hybrid role supports Docker and Kubernetes, containerization, and secure software delivery across hybrid work moments (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). U.S.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).

• Contribute to frameworks that automate testing, environment provisioning, and software delivery.
• Assist in containerizing applications using Docker and Kubernetes under guidance.
• Support Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices by helping maintain consistent environment configurations.

As a Software Engineer, DevSecOps Engineering I you will support core data engineering and DevSecOps efforts by assisting in the development of data ingestion pipelines, automation workflows, and CI/CD processes. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the position helps build and maintain database structures, develop scripts for data processing and integration, and contribute to Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices to ensure consistent environments. The role also supports containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, evaluates DevSecOps tools, and assists in modernizing legacy workflows while promoting secure data handling throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

• Knowledge of software security principles, risk mitigation, and vulnerability management.
• Linux, scripting (Python, Perl, Shell).
• Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud.
• Experience in cryptographic system design and implementation.
• Exposure to system engineering principles and full software lifecycle execution.
• Experience with Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Coverity.
