Job summary

SMX is seeking a Data Science Consultant to support our Army Client in a hybrid role based from Crystal City, Arlington VA, with on-site work at least two days per week. Responsibilities include designing data solutions using Databricks and Palantir Foundry, modifying data models, and building reports from ERP data.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on development, proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark, familiarity with Databricks, and an Active Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• 2+ years hands-on development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design new solutions using Databricks SQL, Python, and PySpark to meet business requirements.
• Design modifications to existing data model solutions as needed.
• Define test cases and verify results to ensure solutions function as designed.
• Build data models and reports from ERP and legacy systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to determine reporting requirements and translate them into technical specs.
