Job summary

City and County of San Francisco is seeking a Data Enablement Operations Analyst to join DataSF. The role focuses on enabling departments to adopt the Unified Data Platform and automate routine workflows, working closely with the Enablement Principal.

Responsibilities include onboarding, governance coordination, and building self-service guides while contributing to a larger data infrastructure effort across city agencies. A hybrid schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate degree in business administration, public administration, information systems, economics, finance, computer science, UX/UI design or closely related field.
• One year in information systems, including technical support, content management, administration of network applications, system analysis, or service design.
• Substitution: One year of additional experience may substitute for the required degree. Completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may substitute for the degree.
• Applicants must meet minimum qualification requirements by the final filing date and may need to submit verification of qualifying education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage intake for the enablement practice: triage incoming requests using service tiers, inform departments about status, ensure each request has a clear owner.
• Onboard departments to UDP from initial conversation through active use, coordinate access requests, lead kickoff and follow-ups, and mentor analysts during early weeks on the platform.
• Support governance by coordinating data-sharing agreements and keeping citywide datasets and inventories updated and published.
• Build self-service guides and documentation to answer frequent questions before requests are submitted.
• Coordinate training programs: schedule cohorts, track attendance, collect feedback to shape teaching methods.
• Identify manual, repetitive steps and create automation to streamline operations.
