Job summary

Gen II Fund Services is seeking a Manager of a team of analysts to transform data, reconcile variances, and test new technology platforms based on transformed data elements.

You will oversee and train conversion analysts, collaborate with IT and Client Service to gather requirements, and document processes to scale projects. A PE accounting background and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or other related field.
• 5+ years of relevant Private Equity Fund/Investment Company Accounting & Reporting experience.
• Ability and desire to manage and train junior staff to build a functional and efficient team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of accounting best practices within complex private equity fund structures.
• Hands on experience accounting/audit of private equity funds.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage timelines and prioritize tasks within a team environment and elevate for assistance when timelines are in jeopardy.
• Extensive Microsoft Excel skills - Pivots, formulas, macros (VBA) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of analysts responsible for transforming data and reconciling variances.

• Oversee and train conversion analysts to understand private equity fund accounting.
• Collaborate with IT and Client Service to gather conversion requirements and address challenges.
• Document conversion processes, mapping tables, and user guides for scalability.
