American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. is seeking a Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise data architecture and ETL frameworks on Google Cloud Platform. This role drives scalable, secure data solutions that enable analytics across the organization.

The position collaborates with business stakeholders, product managers and the BI team to deliver data products and insights, while mentoring data engineers and shaping the data strategy for future growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering, architecture, or analytics with enterprise-scale data strategies.
• Expertise in designing data warehouses and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake)
• Proficiency with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Pub/Sub) and cloud security/compliance.
• Ability to translate complex requirements for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable data architecture, pipelines, and models for a GCP-based data warehouse (BigQuery).
• Own end-to-end ETL/ELT design, ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Collaborate with BI and business teams to deliver data products and analytics solutions.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and security across the data ecosystem.
• Drive modernization by evaluating new technologies and patterns.
• Mentor data engineers and cross-functional teams.
