Job summary

Transamerica invites applications for a 14-week spring internship in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role is full-time (about 40 hours/week) and reports to the Director of Finance Transformation, supporting the Data Analytics team in governance, requirements gathering, and AI use case development.

The internship offers exposure to enterprise data practices, data extraction/transformation/visualization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams on analytics initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, or other IT-type degree.
• Strong interest in financial systems, data analysis, automation, and process improvement.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support migration of global finance systems to US-based systems.
• Contribute to systems mapping and data flow exercises by analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics initiatives.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and visualization, and support predictive modeling and performance measurement.
