Job summary

Planet Labs Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data Team. You will work on geospatial and enterprise data modeling, building dashboards, self-service tooling, and data pipelines to support Planet’s mission.

The role is full-time, hybrid, requiring 3 days per week from either the San Francisco, CA or Arlington, VA offices. You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers to impact product, operations, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree, technical certification, or equivalent.
• Expertise in SQL and Python for data cleaning, aggregation and analytics.
• Experience with git or other version control.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud platforms.
• Reliability and accuracy in analytics work.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and visualize data to drive insights and inform product, business or operational problems.
• Work with key stakeholders to define metrics to measure product and business performance.
• Develop and own robust data models; maintain and improve existing ones.
• Build datasets into self-service data tools using modern data tooling.
• Contribute to a team of Data Scientists, Analysts and Engineers through code reviews.
