Job summary

Planet is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Data Team in a full-time, hybrid role. You will work from San Francisco, CA or Arlington, VA office 3 days per week, building data products and pipelines using git, dbt, Python, SQL and Omni.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts and Engineers to drive insights, define metrics, and improve satellite data processing and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data analysis experience.
• Bachelor's degree, technical certification, or equivalent.
• Strong SQL and Python for data cleaning, aggregation and analytics.
• Experience with Git or other version control.
• Familiarity with enterprise cloud platforms.
• Experience with geospatial data use cases.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and visualize data to drive insights and inform product, business or operational problems.
• Define metrics with stakeholders to measure product and business performance.
• Develop and own robust data models and maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing ones.
• Build datasets into self-service data tools leveraging modern data tooling.
