Job summary

DFA is seeking a risk management professional to educate members and customers on price risk tools and DFA’s risk program. You will independently manage a segment of the risk management portfolio, connect with customers, internal teams, and commercial units to interpret agricultural markets and risk management strategies.

The role emphasizes project leadership, relationship building across DFA divisions, and delivering actionable insights to improve program and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, preferably in business or agriculture, or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in risk management, agricultural commodity trading in the dairy industry preferred
• Project management experience preferred
• Location in Kansas City, KS hybrid remote and in-office environments

Responsibilities

• Educate DFA customers and team members on milk pricing economics and risk management concepts.
• Engage with stakeholders to develop and follow up on risk management strategies.
• Lead projects related to educating customers about markets and price risk management.
• Manage relationships with DFA business units, providing concierge service as needed.
• Present to groups on risk management, milk pricing, and dairy market dynamics.
• Schedule and balance meetings, travel, and events to engage with customers and partners.
