Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager for a hybrid role in Columbus, OH. You will lead high-visibility security initiatives, manage complex IT/cyber projects, and communicate with executive sponsors.

The role focuses on aligning cybersecurity requirements with business objectives, overseeing budgets, and coordinating across cybersecurity, IT, and compliance teams in a dynamic utilities/energy environment.

Qualifications

3+ years of Project Management experience.
Experience leading complex IT or cybersecurity projects.
Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and SDLC methodologies.
Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
Risk, issue, dependency, and change management experience.
Experience working with executive sponsors and cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong business process analysis and process mapping skills.
Experience creating project documentation including project charters, project plans, and status reports.
Experience using Jira, ServiceNow, and/or Power BI.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Manage full project lifecycles using Agile, Waterfall, and iterative methodologies.
Lead cybersecurity initiatives from planning through deployment and closure.
Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, status reports, and project artifacts.
Coordinate activities across cybersecurity, IT, infrastructure, compliance, and business teams.
Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide executive-level project reporting.
Monitor project budgets, forecasts, resource utilization, and project financials.
Support UAT planning, deployment activities, and change management efforts.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Drive alignment between cybersecurity requirements and business objectives.
