Motion Recruitment is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager for a hybrid role in Columbus, OH. You will lead high-visibility security initiatives, manage complex IT/cyber projects, and communicate with executive sponsors.

The role focuses on aligning cybersecurity requirements with business objectives, overseeing budgets, and coordinating across cybersecurity, IT, and compliance teams in a dynamic utilities/energy environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management experience.
• Experience leading complex IT or cybersecurity projects.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Risk, issue, dependency, and change management experience.
• Experience working with executive sponsors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong business process analysis and process mapping skills.
• Experience creating project documentation including project charters, project plans, and status reports.
• Experience using Jira, ServiceNow, and/or Power BI.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycles using Agile, Waterfall, and iterative methodologies.
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives from planning through deployment and closure.
• Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, status reports, and project artifacts.
• Coordinate activities across cybersecurity, IT, infrastructure, compliance, and business teams.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide executive-level project reporting.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, resource utilization, and project financials.
• Support UAT planning, deployment activities, and change management efforts.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive alignment between cybersecurity requirements and business objectives.

Cybersecurity Project Manager | Cybersecurity / IT Project Management | Hybrid | Columbus, OH 43215

Our client is a leading organization in the utilities and energy sector. Based out of Columbus, OH, they are looking to hire a Cybersecurity Project Manager on a Contract basis. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite attendance Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, so local candidates are strongly preferred.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys working at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology, and business transformation. You'll lead high-visibility security initiatives that directly impact enterprise risk reduction, compliance, and operational resilience.
