Job summary

Eliassen Group in Alexandria, VA seeks a Cybersecurity Operations Lead to provide hands‑on technical leadership across cybersecurity architecture, engineering, and security operations. The role strengthens enterprise security posture and leads tool integration and threat detection efforts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity across operations, engineering, architecture, and incident response.
• 5+ years leading cybersecurity operations teams.
• Proven leadership of enterprise programs and security tech deployment in complex environments.
• Experience with Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation initiatives preferred.
• Certifications: CISSP-ISSMP and CISSP-ISSAP.
• US Citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, engineering, and security operations initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Design, integrate, and optimize security technologies for visibility, threat detection, and incident response.
• Support and lead CDM implementation, baselines, and tool configuration.
• Architect, deploy, maintain, and enhance cybersecurity products and services.
• Provide cybersecurity engineering input to enterprise architectures and review boards.
• Ensure security requirements are integrated throughout the SDLC.
• Identify and remediate misconfigurations across infra, apps, and cloud/on‑prem.
• Develop security architecture documentation and network diagrams.
• Oversee data aggregation, correlation, and visualization of security data.
• Lead automation between security operations, monitoring, and tools.
• Oversee vulnerability, asset, configuration, IAM, and continuous monitoring activities.
• Support controls for boundary protection, data protection, DLP, user activity monitoring, and supply chain risk.
