Job summary

BeneSys, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer in Troy, MI to implement, maintain, and improve security technologies across on‑premises and cloud environments.

You will investigate threats, support incident response, and enhance protections in collaboration with IT Infrastructure and Compliance teams. The role emphasizes practical security controls, automation, and strong judgment in a fast‑paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years in cybersecurity (SOC, IR, Threat Hunting, Security Engineering).
• Minimum of one (1) year supporting enterprise IT infrastructure (Service Desk, Systems Admin, Infrastructure).
• Minimum of two (2) years hands-on Defender XDR and Sentinel experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate, triage, and respond to alerts from security platforms (EDR, XDR, SIEM).
• Manage email security, threat intel, and external breach notifications.
• Deploy and maintain cybersecurity software, hardware, and appliances with IT Infrastructure.
• Develop analytics, dashboards, and automation in SIEM and SOAR.
