Job summary

FedSync is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats across networks, systems, and cloud environments. The role aims to reduce risk by analyzing incidents, implementing controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture.

Five analysts are required for this engagement. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days telework, and requires experience with SIEMs, vulnerability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity analysis, security operations, or a related field.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and cloud security tools.
• Working knowledge of NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks.
• Experience supporting security in large enterprise or public-sector environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform threat triage, incident investigation, and risk analysis to protect DOE systems and data.
• Analyze security alerts to identify IOCs, attack patterns, and threats across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid.
• Correlate security data to develop a unified view of organizational cyber risk.
• Identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and protection gaps across infrastructure and cloud.
• Monitor, analyze, and detect cybersecurity threats across SOC, Cloud, and Data Protection domains.
• Monitor SIEM alerts and conduct rapid incident response protocols.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify hidden threats and adversary activity.
• Implement, tune, and manage DLP controls across endpoints and cloud platforms.
• Ensure alignment with NIST, FISMA, and internal cybersecurity policies.
• Document findings and lessons learned to improve security operations.
