Job summary

Wipfli in Milwaukee is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant II to deliver consultative and technical cybersecurity solutions. You will manage portions of engagements, interact with clients, and work under a Senior Consultant or Manager.

A hybrid role requires two office days weekly (Tue/Thu) in the Minneapolis, Milwaukee, or Chicago markets. Preferred candidates have strong social engineering experience, hands-on vulnerability assessments, and a commitment to ongoing professional education and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, cybersecurity, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year in a professional services firm or 3+ years in private industry focusing on cybersecurity or IT.
• Experience and interest in social engineering exercises: OSINT, phishing, pretext calling, and physical pen tests.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure: applications, systems, networks, cloud/SaaS, virtualization, storage, backup and TCP/IP.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Execute security and risk consulting engagements including social engineering, security assessments, and vulnerability testing.
• Perform vulnerability assessments on internal/external networks, devices, apps, and cloud configurations.
• Conduct social engineering services: OSINT, phishing simulations, pretext calls, and physical pen tests.
• Link client requirements to standard cybersecurity solutions with guidance from senior team members.
• Coordinate engagement activities, test, analyze results, identify risks, and present findings to management.
