The role supports an enterprise vulnerability management program within a large financial services environment, focusing on tooling health, scanning operations, and remediation assistance.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in cybersecurity, familiarity with major vulnerability platforms, and basic scripting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT operations.
• Hands-on with enterprise vulnerability scanning platforms such as Qualys, Tenable, Nessus, or Rapid7.
• Foundational scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and how APIs can be used to integrate or automate technology platforms.
• Basic understanding of vulnerability management concepts, including CVEs and risk prioritization.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a drive to understand how systems work.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with technical teams across an enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operation and health of vulnerability management tools, scans, jobs, and integrations.
• Monitor automated processes and troubleshoot scanning or integration failures.
• Assist with configuring and engineering vulnerability scanning infrastructure.
• Perform scan-scope reconciliation to identify gaps in asset and vulnerability coverage.
• Investigate technical issues and partner with infra, security, and tech teams to resolve.
• Support change-management activities for vulnerability tooling and environments.
• Assist with automating processes using Python or REST APIs.
• Contribute to new automation for health monitoring, reporting, and ops.
• Support vulnerability reporting, dashboards, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Assist the team as it expands vulnerability and exposure-management capabilities.
