Job summary

CEI (Computer Enterprises, Inc.) is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join the Client's Security Operations team in Columbia, SC. This long-term contract starts with 6 months and offers a hybrid work arrangement with onsite Tue/Wed/Thu and home Mon/Fri, plus a W-2 pay rate of $57-61/hr and benefits from day one.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate security alerts generated by SIEM, EDR, email security, cloud, and network security tools.
• Review and analyze logs from servers, endpoints, cloud platforms, email systems, and network devices to determine the nature and scope of security events.
• Establish event validity, determine root cause, assess impact, and perform appropriate incident triage.
• Respond to and escalate security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
• Conduct threat analysis and support incident response activities.
• Analyze cyber threat intelligence and apply findings to security monitoring and response efforts.
• Troubleshoot complex security issues across multiple vendor platforms.
• Support risk management, configuration management, business continuity, and contingency planning initiatives.
• Partner with security engineering teams to improve detection capabilities and overall security posture.
