Job summary

NiSource is seeking a Lead Data and Analytics Developer for the Customer Analytics team in Columbus. Hybrid role—3 days on-site—and responsibilities include designing and delivering customer-focused data products, dashboards, and self‑service analytics tools.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to transform data, build scalable solutions, and promote governance across enterprise platforms. The role requires 5+ years in data engineering/BI/Data Science, strong SQL, Python, Tableau/PowerBI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years in data engineering, business intelligence, or data science.
• 5+ years using Tableau Prep, SQL, Python, and PowerBI.
• 5+ years of data visualization or analysis software experience (Tableau, Excel, Cognos Analytics, PowerBI).
• 2+ years leading analytics developers or projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics solution development including data models, dashboards and reports.
• Partner with Data Product Owner on Data Lake design to maximize data quality and reusability.
• Ensure BI governance and policy adherence; monitor data quality.
• Drive adoption of self‑service analytics across the business.
• Mentor team members and manage project timelines and milestones.
