Job summary

Berlin Packaging is seeking a Credit Analyst to manage credit and collections for multiple business units, ensuring timely payments and adherence to terms. The role requires collaboration with sales and operations to mitigate risk and maintain healthy cash flow.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of credit experience, a business/finance degree, and strong Excel skills. Hybrid work in the Chicago area with travel as needed is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or finance or equivalent experience.
• Five to seven years of commercial credit and collection experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage credit and collection activities for portfolio of business units, approving limits up to $500K.
• Review aging reports weekly and coordinate with sales/ops for corrective action.
• Address delinquent payments and resolve customer issues with internal partners.
• Monitor for financial problems and report risk mitigation plans to manager.
• Prepare and follow payment schedules and manage orders placed on hold by ERP.
• Maintain credit exposure within approved limits and build relationships with customers.
