Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking a Credentialing Assistant to support background verification, file preparation, and enrollment maintenance for public payer programs.

This hybrid role requires a high degree of accuracy across many providers and is based in the Milwaukee area. You will assemble re-credentialing files, verify information from primary sources, enroll new providers in Medicare/Medicaid, and maintain CBAP records.

Qualifications

• Supports credentialing workflows with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Interacts with providers and government payers to verify information.
• Maintains organized credentialing and CBAP records.

Responsibilities

• Prepares re-credentialing files for MCW committees.
• Verifies information from primary sources and pursues missing materials.
• Prepares status reports from verifications for review by committees.
• Enrolls new MCW providers in Medicare/Medicaid programs.
• Checks for completeness and requests additional information as needed.
• Transmits applications to government payers and files confirmations.
• Prepares CBAP files for hiring decisions and verifies information.
• Maintains CBAP progress records and candidate files.
