Job summary

RSI is hiring a Cost Estimator in Chattanooga, TN, to estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontracts, and other cost elements for complex construction projects. The role supports proposal activities, historical data analysis, and uses well-defined parameters in a hybrid/remote setting.

The ideal candidate has cost estimating experience, preferably in power/transmission, and a willingness to collaborate with engineering and planning teams in a local office and field sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience in Cost estimating (ideally in the power/transmission field).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field, or equivalent education, training & experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates involving all components/disciplines with complex construction projects.
• Researches comparable projects and estimating techniques to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitors estimate accuracy and suggests improvements to the project team.
• Travels to corporate offices and project sites as needed.
