Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Cost Accountant, Manufacturing, to join our Buffalo site in a hybrid capacity. You will strengthen cost accounting practices across a diverse range of large-scale air compressors and remanufactured products, contributing to standard costing, variance analysis, and continuous improvement within the finance team.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing accounting, strong Excel skills, and experience with cost accounting processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications proficiently.
• 1+ years of cost accounting exposure, knowledge or expertise.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standard costing for manufactured and purchased parts.
• Execute annual cost roll across material, labor and overhead.
• Analyze variances (PPV, labor, freight) and report findings.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes.
• Collaborate with operations and auditors to strengthen internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital project analysis.
