Job summary

The Jacobson Group seeks a legal transactions professional to support corporate transactions, due diligence, and document drafting from its Ohio headquarters. This hybrid, temporary role requires coordination across internal teams and outside counsel, with emphasis on data rooms, closing deliverables, and regulatory filings.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in a legal environment, a relevant degree or paralegal certificate, and strong software skills (Excel, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint).

Qualifications

• 8+ years related experience in a legal environment.
• Bachelor's degree or higher, or a paralegal certificate.
• Technical skills in Microsoft Excel, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint and Planner.
• Experience navigating online data rooms (IntraLinks).
• Extensive experience with corporate transactions including equity or debt investments and M&A.
• Subject matter expertise in Ohio and/or Delaware corporate law.
• Strong project/transaction management and stakeholder coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; familiarity with Section 16 filings (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support corporate transactions including data room management and due diligence.
• Draft and review transactional documents, signing and closing deliverables.
• Coordinate internal approvals, signing mechanics, and post-closing matters.
• Develop and maintain transaction playbooks, templates, and compliance tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and outside counsel.
• Coordinate with SEC filings and notarization; assist with related regulatory filings.
• Support NYSE/SEC requirements and Section 16 reporting as needed.
