Job summary

Engtal is seeking a Controls Engineer in Beaverton, MI to own controls projects from design through startup. You will design electrical panels, CAD schematics, BOMs, and documentation, while developing PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and servo motion programs to meet machine specs.

You will work with a distributed engineering team, participate in design reviews, and perform field commissioning and debugging prior to shipment, with hybrid work after training.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related manufacturing experience.
• Electrical design and controls experience across hardware and software.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Own controls projects from design through machine startup.
• Create electrical panel layouts, CAD schematics, BOMs, and design docs.
• Develop and modify PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and servo motion programs.
• Lead machine startup, debugging, field commissioning, and service support.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with standards.
