Job summary

Ferretti Search is partnering with a growing organization to locate their next Controller in Charlotte, NC. This full-time, hybrid role leads the accounting function and plays a central part in a major ERP implementation.

You will own month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering with executives to transform processes and automate reporting. CPA preferred; Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager-level responsibility.
• Must have played a significant role in a full-cycle ERP implementation, conversion, or major system transformation.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls.
• Systems-oriented: translate accounting requirements into system processes, workflows and reporting capabilities.
• Hands-on leader: comfortable with detail while managing projects and change.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close, general ledger, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Serve as a key finance leader throughout ERP selection, implementation, testing, data migration, and go-live.
• Process design: evaluate workflows and redesign processes to maximize ERP capabilities.
• Data & Controls: ensure accurate migration of financial data while establishing strong controls, reporting standards, and governance.
• Financial Reporting: deliver accurate and timely financial statements, management reporting, and GAAP-compliant analysis.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: collaborate with Finance, Operations, IT, and external implementation partners to ensure system adoption.
• Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities for automation, improved reporting, and greater efficiency.
