Job summary

AWC, Inc in Louisiana seeks a multi-skilled Control Systems Drafter/Designer for a hybrid role near Baton Rouge. Focus on low voltage power distribution and Siemens PLC control design.

You’ll assist with instrumentation and electrical packages for industrial automation and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include developing detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD and EPLAN.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial electrical design or controls engineering.
• Experience with industrial electrical and automation systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or EPLAN.
• Ability to read P&IDs and schematics.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements to develop control system drawings.
• Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs.
• Develop power distribution, PLC panels, remote I/O systems.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, ISA, API, UL, NEMA.
