Job summary

Sargent & Lundy, a global leader in power and energy consulting, is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist to draft, review, and administer engineering and construction contracts. The role requires strong analytical skills, risk mitigation, and collaboration with executive leadership.

You will negotiate terms, manage risk across NDAs, MSAs, and JV agreements, and support business goals. The position offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days in our downtown Chicago office and 2 days remote, along

Qualifications

Experience drafting, negotiating, analyzing, and interpreting contract documents.
Ability to assess and manage contractual risk.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and revise contract documents including NDAs, MSAs, engineering and joint venture agreements.
Negotiate contract terms in line with policies, legal requirements, and risk objectives.
Support executive management to align contracts with business goals.
Review risks and propose solutions to reduce exposure.
Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
Assist with special projects and other assignments as needed.
