Job summary

The Federal Savings Bank in Chicago, IL seeks a motivated Consumer Loan Coordinator to support our growing Consumer Lending team. This full-time role is hybrid and requires residing in or near Chicago.

You will manage loan processing, document gathering, and front-end steps from inquiry through close, while ensuring accuracy and strong customer service. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of sales or customer-facing experience, solid time management, and comfort with dialer systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, call-center, retail, hospitality or food/beverage.
• Ability to manage time effectively due to very high volume of inbound leads.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to succeed.
• Experience using a dialer strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with all bank departments.
• Comfortable using a computer while communicating with customers by phone.
• Favorable credit and background check.
• Veterans are encouraged to apply.
• Live in or near Chicago, IL (required).

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for clients during the loan process from inquiry to close.
• Gather documents and order reports for front end processing.
• Prepare and submit loan files for final underwriting approval.
• Perform quality control audits of the database before closing.
• Coordinate documentation for borrowers and lenders.
• Support various department relations with partners and vendors.
• Back up loan department positions and functions as needed.
• Field inquiries about account balances, loan balances, and payoff requests.
• Assist with loan file preparation and audits/exams.
• Distribute daily and monthly loan reports to branches/departments.
• Follow policies and support bank goals and values.
