Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Construction Engineer to support pre-construction design development and construction planning, including constructability assessments and strategies. The role requires liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure designs are safe, efficient and buildable. Experience in construction engineering and CDM 2015 is essential.

Hybrid work is available, with potential site visits to Theale, Aldermaston, and Warrington; main locations will be Theale or Aldermaston.

Qualifications

• Degree with honours in engineering, construction management or a related subject (or equivalent).
• Experience in construction engineering or pre-construction on multidisciplinary projects.
• Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support development of constructability assessments and construction execution strategies during pre-construction.
• Review design deliverables and suppliers’ documentation to identify construction risks and improvements.
• Undertake constructability assessments; ensure designs are efficient, safe and buildable.
• Liaise with internal and external design teams to coordinate information for construction planning.
• Interface with Human Factors, Fire Safety, Conventional Safety and Safety Case to support integrated design.
