Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Typically a minimum of six years of relevant claims experience, preferably in medical malpractice.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures.
• Ensures exceptional customer service and timely updates to inquiries.
• Verifies coverage and establishes reserves according to policy language.
• Leads focused investigations to determine compensability and damages.
• Develops and executes claim resolution strategies with internal and external partners.
• Manages budgets, reserves, and payments within authority.
• Addresses subrogation opportunities and potential fraud.
• Keeps leadership informed with loss summaries and status updates.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and stays current on trends in the line of business.
• Mentors and trains less experienced claim professionals.
