Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a data-driven Consultant, Competitive Intelligence, to collect, build, and communicate data-driven recommendations. You will perform statistical analyses, monitor competitive position, and partner with enterprise teams to gain market insights related to the business unit.

You will lead analyses, present findings to executives, and collaborate on projects across interdisciplinary teams in a hybrid Columbus environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (actuarial science, statistics, math, or related).
• SAS certification a plus; insurance licenses/designations (CPCU, ARM, CLU, ChFC, FLMI, CFP, NASD, etc.) also are a plus.
• Eight to ten years of experience in a business unit (pricing, actuarial, product) or equivalent; programming or web development experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves and manipulates data with accuracy.
• Updates competitive intelligence tools and reports; may update complex coding in applications/vendor software.
• Conducts analyses using appropriate data sources and methods; investigates hypotheses and suggests alternatives.
• Leads or collaborates on competitive intelligence projects.
• Communicates findings to internal partners and trains users on tools and processes.
• Presents results to corporate and executive audiences.
• Participates in ad hoc analyses and project planning; evaluates new techniques and software.
• Reviews work and mentors others on standard procedures and processes.
