Berkshire Hathaway GUARD is seeking a Compensation Analyst to design, administer, analyze, and implement compensation programs. You will research market practices, evaluate jobs, maintain salary structures, and support payroll activities to ensure pay practices are competitive and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2+ years in compensation, analytics, payroll, or related field.
• Knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation, market pricing, salary structures, merit programs, and incentives.
• Proficiency in Excel with formulas, lookups, pivot tables; HRIS/payroll systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer merit and bonus cycles, including planning, validation, approvals, and payroll submission.
• Maintain compensation calendars, eligibility rules, and supporting docs for merit and incentive programs.
• Research compensation practices to ensure competitive and cost-effective offerings.
• Conduct market pricing and participate in salary surveys to assess competitiveness.
• Perform job evaluations by reviewing descriptions, org structure, scope, and qualifications.
• Analyze internal/external pay data to identify equity and competitiveness concerns.
• Collaborate with HR leadership and managers to evaluate positions and provide guidance.
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing research, analyses, and recommendations.
• Maintain salary structures, job codes, and compensation records in HRIS.
