Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies in the United States is seeking a Compensation Analyst to design and administer pay programs across the enterprise. You will conduct market research, evaluate jobs, maintain salary structures, and support merit and bonus cycles to ensure competitive and compliant pay practices.

You'll collaborate with HR leaders and managers, prepare analytical reports, monitor compliance with wage laws, and help drive cost-effective compensation decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 2+ years in compensation or HR analytics.
• Knowledge of compensation principles and job evaluation.
• Experience with market pricing and salary structures.
• Proficient Excel skills and HRIS experience.
• Strong communication and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer merit and bonus cycles, incl. planning, configuration, testing, data validation, and payroll submission.
• Maintain annual compensation calendars and planning worksheets.
• Research compensation practices to stay competitive and cost-effective.
• Conduct market pricing and surveys to assess external competitiveness.
• Perform job evaluations to recommend classifications and salary ranges.
• Analyze pay relationships and market position for equity concerns.
• Prepare reports for HR leadership and executives.
• Maintain salary structures and compensation records in HRIS.
• Review payroll reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Support compensation program communications and manager tools.
• Monitor wage compliance and assist audits.
